Check List

Yesterday morning I woke up at 6 am to the alarm
on his cell phone going off, reminding me to arise
and get the kids bathed and ready for school. As I
was sitting up my lower back was aching from extra
weight gained since my return back home.

After seeing the kids get on the bus, I decided to do
something about it, but before that I would get the
house cleaned up and my last two loads of laundry
done before leaving the house.

I was behind in going to the temple for a session,
and was planning to go with Yolanda to the temple
but leave by 9 am. Yolanda texted the night before
to see if we could leave by 11 am since her kids
will be having a late start for school. I said, sure
not knowing that I would find out in the morning
that 11 am wouldn't work for me either as my
children will be getting out of school early at 1 pm.
and sessions are for 2 hours. So that wouldn't
work for me. So it'll be initiatories for me then,
I'll still be able to make it in and help in some way.

After returning from the temple, I decided to put
in the Zumba disc and play it on the Wii. It's been
a while and I need to get some exercise in for today,
I've been slowly watching my arms and derriere get
bigger and decided I need to get back to where I
need to be, a size 10. (I haven't been that size since
my second child, which was 17 years ago.) I did a
full hour workout going through three levels :) by
the time the kids walked in through the door from
school I was on the last part of my cool down
session. They cheered me on and said, "Burn that
fat, mom!" I was too sweaty to give them a hug,
so they got a smile and thank you instead.

Those were my two biggest things that needed
to get checked off on my to do list. I'll be back
to doing Zumba today again after a good hour
of walking.

Our Run In with The Cops Today.

Today started out as a busy morning.
I woke up the older girls to get ready
so that we can drop off Loni at the bus
stop for school and then hit the gym
afterwards.

I felt better not going by myself and plan
on going back in the evening for the
Zumba class. Well, during the day we
ran to Fred Meyers to use our Freebie
coupons to review the Silk Pure Almond
Milk for our upcoming giveaways and
on our way back I noticed lights going
off right behind me and all the kids
shouting to pull over. So I got into the right
lane to find a turn since the road was so
busy. When we pulled over the kids
were asking me if we're going to be okay
and told everyone to keep quiet and keep
their seat belts on.

So the officer gets out and comes to my
door and asks for my DL and I told him
that I forgot it at home and were heading
back from a milk run to the store.

So he comes back and asks if I want to
hear the good news or the bad news first
and all the kids start shouting good and
bad. He started smiling and gave us the
bad news. He told me he's giving me a
ticket for no insurance and the good news
is that I get to drive home and he won't
have the car towed and all the kids started
cheering. I thanked him and told him that
I'm going straight home.

I paid our bills and totally forgot to pay
the auto insurance and let it lapse. Yes,
my fault and I got a harsh reminder today
when I got ticketed and fined $534.00
I told the kids not to say anything to dad
and that I would tell him on my own time.

As soon as we got home the youngest one
Nesi [5 yo] runs in the room and tells her
dad, guess what? I have a secret to tell you
and she goes on to tell him that we got
pulled over by the cop and that he was nice
enough to let us come back home with our
car and not take it away and that mommy
got a ticket.

I told him to stay and not go anywhere
until we pay the insurance and he said,
no worries. So he left and I said, good luck..
lol..at least I gave him fair warning. Well,
that was my day of stress. Now I'm getting
ready to wind down with my stash of mags
that came through the mail yesterday and
a cup of Peppermint Tea. That's my
Theta Mom "me" time for today.

Theta Mom Thursday - Trying Out Zumba

Ok, I've been hearing my good friends Sinai
and Silia talking about their fun adventures
in Zumba fitness and decided to try it out
with my 5 yr. old daughter this morning and
all I can say is that we had tons of fun and
a bit of belly aches but laughed our way thr
ough the routines and different videos on

I was laughing at the end when
my 5 yr. old said to me.."look mommy, I
think your tummy is starting to shrink!"
and I started chuckling and said, yes, Nesi
that's my goal this year..shrink my tummy!
Looks like we're going to do several of these
to get there:) Gotta love kids:)

My Theta Mom Thursday

Okay, so I've finally gotten a chance to get
my 4 year old to bed and get back to blogging.
Lately I've just been feelin really tired and
just want to get the relaxing part.

But with the kids being sick these past few
days it's been hard and  I  did decide to
join AVON and become a sales represen
tative while still caring for my young ones at
home.

I got interviewed by Barbara last Saturday
morning and filled out my application to
start with them. I'm pretty excited and just
hope for the best..I'm expecting 100
brochures in the morning.. and my friend
Kathleen gave me all her leftover supplies
from her AVON Leadership stuff to use:)

I found out on Tuesday night that I am
now an AVON sales rep and hope to
work my way up to leadership. I am
really looking forward to what's ahead
and passing out those brochures.

with that said, I'm going to and relax
with a $7.50 double dvd box I grabbed
at Walmart this evening. I've never watched
Joe Black before..heard it's good..

Catching Up on "me" Time

The past few days have been pretty
busy for me and I've been starving
for some alone time. I woke up at 5 am
and went to our gym here in the complex
and spent a good hour in there
thinking about my goals that I'd
like to accomplish by December and
working off last night's garlic
chicken pizza on the Elliptical
and the weights.

I'd have to say, I was pretty dizzy &
thirsty as heck
by the time I got off and went outside
to get in my car. But it was even
better when I got back and slept an
extra hour.

Time Out for Theta Mom Thursday

If you're new to "Time Out for Theta
Moms Thursday" and would like to
join in on the fun, It's about setting
a goal to set aside one hour of time
within a week to do whatever you
want, without the kids. So on Thursdays
you can post what you did with your
hour of "me" time on Heather's page
with a link back to your blog, so
that other mom's can see what you
did with your hour of free time.

I know I'm posting this late but I finally got caught up
on my "me" time on Friday night. Putting together a
diaper wreath for my baby nephew, Elijah. I love doing
crafty things that helps me to relax and unwind after a
busy day with the kids. I usually unwind with a book or
good walk.

Here's a pic. of what I made. The boy medallions were
created with my awesome new cricut expressions that
I've been waiting to put to use:)

How did you spend your "me" time?

Walking It Out.......

If you're new to "Time Out for Theta

I just joined my friend, Feina's
Biggest Loser Weight Loss Group last week
and the goal is to weigh in at the
start & pay $20 ea. then lose as much
as you can before the next weigh in
which is next month on the 10th.

Whoever loses the most at weigh in
on the 10th wins all the money collected
from each person that paid the $20 due.
So, It's pretty fun! They've been
really successful for the past year or
so and this is my first time joining.

I weighed in at 286..ughh (the heaviest
I've been ever!) and am looking to at
least drop 10 lbs. (realistically) by
the 10th & keep working down from there.
So far, I've been walking in the evening
with my kids but not going far distances
like I use to on my own.

I've packed on about 100 pounds after
having the two youngest ones and not
shedding all the baby weight after.
Plus snacking while blogging and not
burning it off after is what has gotten
me to this point.

So this morning I actually woke up at
4am and started walking to the gym in
our complex. I started for 30 minutes
on the elliptical and walked for 30
minutes around the complex taking in
that fresh air and feeling great.

Came back and drank tons of ice water!
ahhh. refreshing H20, great workout,
house is still quiet and an hour of
time to myself...can't beat that one..
