Beauty Tips
Beauty Tip #1:
Banana is a wonderful anti-wrinkle treatment.
Mash 1/4 of a banana until very creamy. Spread all over face and leave for 15-20 minutes before rinsing off with warm water followed by a splash of cold water.
Gently pat dry.
Beauty Tip #2:
Lavish the Vaseline on your hands, then slip on a pair of
cotton gloves before you hit the sack. Your hands will be
lusciously soft by morning
Beauty Tip #3:
Got oily or acne prone skin? Try this homemade facial
recipe at home..and let us know how it worked out for you!
1 medium size apple, grated fine
5 tbs. honey
Mix the grated apple and honey well. Smooth over skin and let sit for 10 minutes.
Rinse off with cool water.

Busy Monday
Today we got the girls out to the
Young Women's Rough Camp. Pretty busy morning
with lots of running around to do. But, I
finally got it done and dying to get out
of the heat and get home and relax by the
air conditioner.
The girls are camping out there for a week.
My 12 yr. old, Hinalei was supposed to fly
back in from Salt lake last night but ended
up not making the flight and again missed
her morning flight today. So she didn't make
it to the camp, only Nataliana did.
Got home and started baking chocolate chip
cookies for the little ones and making
pani popo ( homemade rolls baked in coconut
milk mixed with sweetened condensed milk)
for the rest of the family to snack on later.
I did make a stop off at Office Max and took
advantage of their cheap Back to School
Deals for this week. Got the Erasers for .25c
ea. The crayons are 1 cent ea. limit 3.

Apricot-Cherry Trifle
Makes 4 servings
INGREDIENTS
6 ripe apricots, halved and pitted
1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
2 teaspoons apricot nectar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 angel food cake, cut into 1/2-inch slices
2 1/2 cups nonfat plain yogurt
1 cup bing cherries, halved and pitted
PREPARATION
Cook first 4 ingredients in a medium saucepan over low heat for about 10 minutes or until apricots start to release juices. Remove from heat; set aside. Lay cake slices on waxed paper. Using a standard "rocks" glass, cut out 12 circles of cake. When apricots are cool, puree in blender 2 minutes or until smooth. Cover, and refrigerate 30 minutes. Stir yogurt into apricot mixture. Place a few cherry halves on the bottom of a rocks glass. Spoon 2 tablespoons yogurt-apricot mixture over cherries; cover with a slice of cake; repeat twice. Top with cherries and a drizzle of yogurt-apricot mixture.

spending time w. my daughters
It's been a while and I've been pretty busy
with my daughters while they were here spending
some time with us. My three older ones are
from my 1st marriage. I'd love to have them
back, but dh prefers they stay with their
grandparents, which has been really hard
for me.
I love my children and try to spend as
much time with them as I can. They're growing
so fast and I feel as if there's so much
that I missed out on. They want to come
back and live with me only if I'm single
again.
It's been hard living with someone who
doesn't love & accept my children and
our relationship has been going downhill,
since I discovered his affairs.
We've gone in to see our bishop and it
seems like things have gotten worse and
now he's going to the islands with his
mother for vacation, which has been
about $5,000 + out of our pocket for
his ticket, her ticket and other loans
he's had to pay off for her in the
islands.while I've been having to
scrape by.
There's been alot on my plate lately
and I've been looking for another place
to move to with my children while he's
out of the country. Maybe then, I'll
find my peace and solice.
I'm sorry that I had to post this, I've
just been really stressed and sad lately.
so, I just wanted to get it off my chest.

YW Fundraiser
Yesterday was a fun day for my children & I.
Our young women held a fundraiser yesterday
to raise over $900 to get 9 girls into
YW Rough Out Camp for next week.
We started out at 11 am and didn't finish
until 7pm last night. It was fun and the
girls enjoyed it. we baked over 30 trays
of sweet rolls baked in sweetened coconut
milk at $15 a pan and a large ziplock bag
of Round Cakes made of yeast..they were
our best selling items!
we ended with $380 in cash and a total
of $590 in sales. So far, so good. we're
going to finish up tomorrow by holding
a car wash at the church and selling more
round cakes at $10 a bag. I'll post up more
pics. in a bit.
The girls were taking a break and enjoying
the treats from our young women president's
stockpile in these pics.!
