Changes, Callings and Moving...

Lately I haven't had alot of time to blog. I did receive a new
calling in church. I am now the Primary Secretary and started
this past Sunday. It was enjoyable and I love being in there.
I'm learning alot with my new calling and trying to remember
faces and names. The presidency is a wonderful trio to work
with and I will miss them when we move next month. It'll be
kinda far, so that means we won't be within their boundaries
to attend the ward. So we will have to find another one soon.

Why are we moving? Trying to find something more affordable
than where we're at right now. We're currently paying $940
a month for rent (2 bd,2 bth), but recently we've been late due
to payment schedules from different clients and have been
paying $1,300 or more a month in just late fees and court costs.

The kids aren't looking forward to moving to another school
but I know they'll adjust soon enough once we're settled in our
new place. I just filed our taxes so that amount should help us
get into a place quick enough. I love filing electronically online
because you get it pretty quick. We're getting our on the 4th
so I've already got all the utilities lined up to get paid before
the move.

Just got back from church and with no more

to see their daughters get their new books,
3 of them received their medallions and it
was wonderful.

I waited til I got there to pipe on the fresh
whipped cream:)

Works, Faith, Divine Nature, Knowledge, Individual
worth and Virtue.

My batteries ran out the rest of the evening so I'll be posting

Sunday Happenings 12/06

Loni getting ready to go into primary.

Nesi [right] with her friend from primary:)

Today I got up and prepared everything
we needed to get done before 10 am.
Church starts at 1 pm and I wanted us
to be there on time. Made PB&J wheat
sandwiches for the kids with bottled H20
and Turkey Sandwiches for us..since we
have an appointment with Bishop for
our yearly tithing settlement after church
at 5 pm.

Well, we left to church and halfway
there I realize that I left the kids snacks
and sandwiches in the fridge. so much,
for that..hope the kids won't get too
hungry after church while we wait for
our turn.

So 5pm hits and the other family b4
us is done and we get ready to enter
in...I'm not sure how much we've paid
in tithing during the year when Meleki
was working..but bishop handed us
our papers and I looked down at the
numbers and thought wow..didn't
realize that we'd given that much
this year ..but
he said that we did good and asked
us how our fam is doing..so far so
good..we're still working on this &
that..but we're slowly moving forward
and trying to work things out.

Bishop ended our interview with a
blessing for our little family and we
thanked him for everything then came
back home. These kids were soo
hungry they ate all the sandwiches,
chips and chocolate chip/cranberry
cookies.

Watching New Moon as a Church Activity?

As most of you know, I'm a second counselor
in our ward's Young Women Presidency and
I teach the Beehive class. After our lesson we
we had discussed our combined YW activity
for this month, yes, you guessed right.

The girls want to go as a whole to watch New
Moon the night it comes out. I'm okay going to
watch it on my own. But have a bad feeling
the parents might not be so happy about it.

Our YW Pres. thinks it's okay also..but thinks
it would be suitable only for the Laurels since
they're over the PG-13 requirements and on
their own time.

What are your thoughts on this? I really want
to go and watch it with my girlfriends, but feel
as if I'm on shaky ground with this subject and
taking our YW to watch it.

So I told my Beehives to deccide on an activity
just for our class only and they prefer to just
bake cookies for the firefighters in the
neighborhood for the beehives class activity.
Good enough for me..lol..

Casual Friday -

Yesterday was a fun day for us. We had
to be at the church by 10 am to start decorating
for the ward "Back To School Dance" last nite.

We decided to make it a fun "Reggae Theme"
and had fun putting up the decorations with
some of the Young Women that showed
up to help out.

The bishopric requested "no balloons" just because it's
alot to clean up. So we honored their request and just
did it simple with streamers and stars from Party City

Thanks, Soana, Ofeina Iongi, Pele, Litea, Tia and Fita for
showing up to help out!

Busy Monday

Today we got the girls out to the
Young Women's Rough Camp. Pretty busy morning
with lots of running around to do. But, I
finally got it done and dying to get out
of the heat and get home and relax by the
air conditioner.

The girls are camping out there for a week.
My 12 yr. old, Hinalei was supposed to fly
back in from Salt lake last night but ended
up not making the flight and again missed
her morning flight today. So she didn't make
it to the camp, only Nataliana did.

Got home and started baking chocolate chip
cookies for the little ones and making
pani popo ( homemade rolls baked in coconut
milk mixed with sweetened condensed milk)
for the rest of the family to snack on later.

I did make a stop off at Office Max and took
advantage of their cheap Back to School
Deals for this week. Got the Erasers for .25c
ea. The crayons are 1 cent ea. limit 3.
