Sunday Happenings 12/06

Loni getting ready to go into primary.

Today I got up and prepared everything
we needed to get done before 10 am.
Church starts at 1 pm and I wanted us
to be there on time. Made PB&J wheat
sandwiches for the kids with bottled H20
and Turkey Sandwiches for us..since we
have an appointment with Bishop for
our yearly tithing settlement after church
at 5 pm.

Well, we left to church and halfway
there I realize that I left the kids snacks
and sandwiches in the fridge. so much,
for that..hope the kids won't get too
hungry after church while we wait for
our turn.

So 5pm hits and the other family b4
us is done and we get ready to enter
in...I'm not sure how much we've paid
in tithing during the year when Meleki
was working..but bishop handed us
our papers and I looked down at the
numbers and thought wow..didn't
realize that we'd given that much
this year ..but
he said that we did good and asked
us how our fam is doing..so far so
good..we're still working on this &
that..but we're slowly moving forward
and trying to work things out.

Bishop ended our interview with a
blessing for our little family and we
thanked him for everything then came
back home. These kids were soo
hungry they ate all the sandwiches,
chips and chocolate chip/cranberry
cookies.

Trip #2 to Dentist

Nesi just couldn't leave this assistant alone..He's

her favorite and is really cool to the kids:)

We got to see the dentist today after
leaving one of the job sites this morning.
These two just love going to the dentist
and enjoy the prizes they get to choose
out of the box.

Busy Thursday

This morning we had to leave the house at 6am to
get to one the jobs we're installing a circular
driveway at and meet with the inspectors from
the city. It's like a 45 min drive there and so
I got the kids up early so we could drop off
my 1st grader and just have my preschooler
with me.

Meleki getting off to stay @ the jobsite, while we're

off to Barbara's house.

After the meeting we head up to my district
leaders' home for Avon. They'll be walking
me through appointing new Avon Sales Reps.
Since I am now in Leadership. I just found
out that I now have 3 and will be adding a
fourth one to my downline.

I'm pretty nervous but excited to take this
new path with Avon and see where it leads
me:) It's refreshing and something different.

I was even more excited when I was
told that our Divisional Manager was going
to be at this meeting with  Patti ,Barbara
& I.. She's really awesome and  I
learned so much after it was all done from
them.

ready there..but glad to have met Kymber:)

Still in SLC

We left Portland on Friday for Salt Lake City
to attend my little sister's baby shower and
were supposed to return back yesterday.
So we're still here because we came on standby
tickets and the flights were all full yesterday
going back to PDX- Oregon.

Saturday- had fun cooking and prepping for
my sister's baby shower. Overall it was fun
and all her friends and family showed up.
She was pretty excited with how it turned
out and seeing everyone again. I think she's
pretty much set for a good 2 years with all
the gifts she received. After the shower,my
sisters, Mele and my older daughters went
to watch New Moon- yes, it was fun..

Sunday - Woke up feeling under the
weather but, had to go to church with my
parents and the kids. Couldn't hang in so
I came back and rested up.

I spent time with my eldest son, Ami
before we took him back up to Lehi.
He lives with my 1st cousin, Eddie &
his wife Lilly. Eddie has been a great
father figure to Ami and has been
helping him out with school and football.

We hugged and I thanked Lilly for
letting him stay with them and we
talked for a little bit. It's really hard
for me to walk away and see my son
stay with others but I my parents
said he has a good chance of getting
a better life and education by staying
with Eddie and away from his past
friends that he had.

My sisters came over to my parents
house and suggested we all go watch
New Moon again since we didn't go
with my little sister who had the baby
shower. We caught the 10:45 pm  one
and  had fun watching it all over again.
We all cried in the end when she told
Jacob that it was Edward all along...
looking forward to watching Eclipse..

Monday- Getting our things packed
and ready to head back home to
Portland. Called L's school to excuse
him since we couldn't make it home
on time for school. Spent time with
Tia talking this morning before she
went to school with Hinalei.

Nesi turns 5 this month on the 30th
and so we're celebrating her bday
here with my mom since they're both
on the same day & month. I'm going
to bake a marble cake and put up
the decorations while they're all gone
to work and school. So yeah, that's
pretty much my trip for the past
couple of days...hope your weekend
was wonderful as well.. Happy
Monday...

Kids Say The Darndest Things....

It's amazing what new things my little ones
are saying now a days. As you know, a
couple of weeks ago..we went in to see
the dentist and ended up taking out Loni's
baby molars[2] of them..Nesi stood there
and didn't even cry when they were
pulling out his teeth and the dentist was
shocked saying that these two were
different from his other little patients..I
said..lol..you don't know..these two are
die hards..

so this evening at home we're getting
ready to retire for the evening when
I hear the 4 year old [Nesi] saying to
Loni [the 6 yr. old].

Nesi: did you put your teeth under
the pillow?

Loni: yes, leave me alone. I need to
sleep so the tooth fairy can bring me
a dollar for my tooth.

Nesi: The tooth fairy will only come
and take your good teeth. If your
teeth stink and don't look good she
will not take it and you'll have no $.

I started laughing so hard from the
hallway and heard Loni asking her
how does she know his teeth stinks
and she said that she smelled it
already.. geez..these kids are too
much sometimes.

Watching New Moon as a Church Activity?

As most of you know, I'm a second counselor
in our ward's Young Women Presidency and
I teach the Beehive class. After our lesson we
we had discussed our combined YW activity
for this month, yes, you guessed right.

The girls want to go as a whole to watch New
Moon the night it comes out. I'm okay going to
watch it on my own. But have a bad feeling
the parents might not be so happy about it.

Our YW Pres. thinks it's okay also..but thinks
it would be suitable only for the Laurels since
they're over the PG-13 requirements and on
their own time.

What are your thoughts on this? I really want
to go and watch it with my girlfriends, but feel
as if I'm on shaky ground with this subject and
taking our YW to watch it.

So I told my Beehives to deccide on an activity
just for our class only and they prefer to just
bake cookies for the firefighters in the
neighborhood for the beehives class activity.
Good enough for me..lol..

My Theta Mom Thursday

Okay, so I've finally gotten a chance to get
my 4 year old to bed and get back to blogging.
Lately I've just been feelin really tired and
just want to get the relaxing part.

But with the kids being sick these past few
days it's been hard and  I  did decide to
join AVON and become a sales represen
tative while still caring for my young ones at
home.

I got interviewed by Barbara last Saturday
morning and filled out my application to
start with them. I'm pretty excited and just
hope for the best..I'm expecting 100
brochures in the morning.. and my friend
Kathleen gave me all her leftover supplies
from her AVON Leadership stuff to use:)

I found out on Tuesday night that I am
now an AVON sales rep and hope to
work my way up to leadership. I am
really looking forward to what's ahead
and passing out those brochures.

with that said, I'm going to and relax
with a $7.50 double dvd box I grabbed
at Walmart this evening. I've never watched
Joe Black before..heard it's good..

Catching Up on "me" Time

The past few days have been pretty

busy for me and I've been starving

for some alone time. I woke up at 5 am

and went to our gym here in the complex

and spent a good hour in there

thinking about my goals that I'd

like to accomplish by December and

working off last night's garlic

chicken pizza on the Elliptical

and the weights.

I'd have to say, I was pretty dizzy &

thirsty as heck

by the time I got off and went outside

to get in my car. But it was even

better when I got back and slept an

extra hour.

Cricut Deals at Fred Meyer's

I was at Fred Meyer's last night 

and almost freaked out at their amazing

prices on The Cricut Expressions items.

For example, the blade that's used to cut

the vinyl and wood..that's available for 

$25 bucks and the cartridges were $69

bucks. Unbelievable..but true. 

I unfortunately couldn't get in on the deal

since I had a budget to stick to and was 

only there for 6 lbs of apples for our 

caramel apples that we'll be serving at the

Halloween Youth Dance tomorrow tonight. 

I'll swing by there today for a snapshot..lol

Trip to Dentist

This Friday morning I woke up and got the 

two younger ones ready for their 

second dental appointment downtown.

As we're making our way down the steep

hill from our house, I'm driving slow 

and trying to get the windows defogged, 

it's pouring like crazy outside and I'm trying

not to get too close to the big concrete truck 

on my right side, when a small silver car

right behind the concrete truck tries to 

maneuver it's way past the truck and in front

of me. it's moving too fast and I'm trying

to move forward out of it's way when the

car comes slamming into my right 

passenger side door in the front, I think the

driver was trying to hit the breaks. The

kids are screaming and I tell them to sit 

tight and don't move. We're sliding down the

hill with it still hooked at my side and the 

concrete truck moving faster away from 

us. 

Thank goodness, we end up stopping 

at the light but we're in the middle of 

the intersection. So she gets out and asks

if we're ok and I tell her yes, we're fine. 

She apologizes and says, that she's on 

her way to school and was in a hurry & 

will grab her insurance information. 

I'm still a little dizzy and ask the kids if 

they are ok. Both are ok and just sit

there staring at me. I tell them to sit still 

while I get and look to see what's damaged

on my car. 

We exchange information and I end up 

calling the dental office to cancel the appt. 
So I turn around and head back home to 
get my insurance info and stuff..since we're
right down the road. 


I come back and she's gone, so I figure 
I'll just give her a call after I've gone to 
Geico to get their input on this situation.

Beauty Tip of the Day

Thursday's To Do List...

I took Loni to school this morning, got back 
and started making my to do list for today
and realized I have so much to do.. My dh
filled the car to full today, since I'll be on the
run most of today. So I'm going to try my
hardest to complete all these things and have
my "me" time. For Theta Mom Thursday.
So here's what I gotta get done today. 

• Bake 10 pans of assorted cakes, 
• 1 big tray of Pani Popo & 1 tray of C. Rolls to take to our YW President- Lani's house for their family funeral from last week. 
• Finish the Laundry in Laundry Room. 
• Clean the house
• Finish entering the rest of the deals for my couponing blog
• Get all letters and shapes cut out for Nursery Board, since our young women are decorating the board for yet another service project. Theme: Fall with Welcome To Nursery lettering. 
• Get to a bank or credit union to open 2 different business accounts for the AMS Designs FX  and one for Wild Orchid Events. long story on this one..we're looking to just open extras on the side just in case. I finally took care of one item on Chex Systems..and no it wasn't my fault..lol...no for reals.
• Open a personal & savings acct. for the children & I.
• Pick up Loni from bus stop 
• Help Loni with his homework before I leave for our YW activities. 
• Fix Dinner for the family before I leave. Tater Tot Casserole, Salad & Cornbread

Princess Bling Cupcake Topper Project..

So instead of doing the ladybug cupcake toppers, I 
decided on doing Princess Tiara Bling Cupcake Toppers.
I know that one was a mouthful..


Here's a pic. of it before getting blinged out..I decided
to go with the smaller popsicle sticks because it would 
look better than the wide width ones. 


I've got the gold shimmer over shadowing the black
with a square multi-cut mirror underneath the tiara 
with either a pink or white bow (mini) 

will post that after pic. in a bit. This is cut at 2"in. on the C. Expressions. 
I used the new Household Decor Cartridge for this one. 


These are made from acid & lignin free cardstock.

Getting Back into My Love of Specialty Painting & A Little Crafting....

It's been a year since I last worked on a project
and I miss it alot. I will definitely catch up on what
I've been missing by signing up for Modello Design's
virtual class. Yay..this is what I've been waiting for. 


Before it was the classes that you had to make it in 
for. But now you can take it in the comfort of your 
home! I'm going through my boxes of tools and materials
that I last ordered from Modello Designs and Faux FX
and am pretty excited to go back to stenciling & 
Faux Finishing while at home with my children.


I'm still a licensed & bonded GRC
so hopefully I'll be able to get back into the game
after taking some more virtual classes and creating
some more samples to add to my portfolio.
I need to earn some money doing some small jobs
or something. 


As for my Cricut Expressions..that's going to be used
today to make some baby shower banners for my 
sister Meliani's baby shower next month. I'm going
to create the lady bug cupcake toppers for her dessert
table...stay tuned for that one!

I know I'm posting this late but I finally got caught up
on my "me" time on Friday night. Putting together a
diaper wreath for my baby nephew, Elijah. I love doing
crafty things that helps me to relax and unwind after a
busy day with the kids. I usually unwind with a book or
good walk.

created with my awesome new cricut expressions that
I've been waiting to put to use:)
